Guava Cake weed strain exhibits negative phototropism, meaning it grows in the opposite direction of light, a characteristic common to most indica varieties.

The Guava Cake weed strain is known for its unique growth pattern, which can be attributed to its negative phototropism properties. This characteristic is often found in indica-dominant cannabis varieties.

Negative phototropism refers to the plant’s tendency to grow in the opposite direction of light. In other words, rather than stretching towards the sun or any other source of light, the Guava Cake strain will actually bend away from it.

This phenomenon can be observed when growing plants under direct sunlight or high-intensity lamps. The stems and branches of the Guava Cake strain may appear to curve or twist inwards, creating an interesting visual effect.

Several factors contribute to the development of negative phototropism in indica varieties like Guava Cake. One possible explanation is the presence of auxins, a class of plant hormones that play a crucial role in cell elongation and differentiation.

Auxins can regulate cell growth patterns by promoting cell division and expansion on one side of the stem or branch while inhibiting it on the other. This uneven growth can cause the plant to bend or curve in response to light.

Another possible explanation for negative phototropism is the presence of other plant hormones, such as ethylene or gibberellins, which can influence cell growth and differentiation.

In the case of the Guava Cake strain, it’s likely that a combination of auxin-related and other hormonal responses contribute to its unique growth pattern. However, further research would be necessary to fully understand the underlying mechanisms driving this phenomenon.
